SkillShare November 2013

The opening SkillShare event was hosted on Nov 4th 2013 at the Theodore Bullfrog pub in central London. It was a chance to introduce the meetup group’s concept and meet the first attendees and demonstrators.

After a quick demo in a fake 3D effect it was the turn of Jeff Osborne to demonstrate some previous projects and techniques for creating works in Cinema 4D.

Further demos looked at the image assets feature in new versions of Photoshop CC and a tip for effortlessly removing people from photographs. We also looked at creating interactive PDFs in InDesign and the touch type tool in Illustrator CC. There was also a fascinating new trick shown by Micol Montesanti in creating an ombro-cinema images in Illustrator.

The event ended with some helpful links shared and the group completing themed sketches of Penguins. The first 10 visitors received a Photoshop shortcuts handout also.
